September means one thing and one thing only…the 24 Days of Stationery Advent Calendar launch! After selling out in record time last year, (so much so our website broke – whoops!), this year we’ve been so excited to unveil the stationery advent calendar to the world and show you this year’s fantastical and bold theme. But this year there’s a little more than meets the eye behind the design. Read on to discover the inspiration behind this year’s stationery advent calendar…

This Christmas, we wanted to encapsulate the comforting and escapist mood of the festive season, so we drew inspiration from the land of dreams combined with the soothing nostalgia of a patchwork quilt. Featuring playful illustrations evoking tales of Greek mythology and dreamscapes, isn’t it beautiful and so unique?!

But what you might not realise is each illustration on this year’s stationery advent calendar actually symbolises something you might see when asleep. Have you seen any of these recently in your dreams? Read on for what they mean and what your subconscious might be trying to tell you!

Stars

Imagine drifting into dreamland under a twinkling, starry night’s sky! Well, when you see stars in your dreams, it’s like a cosmic wink from the universe. These celestial gems symbolise hope and trust, like your own personal constellation guiding you. It is like the universe telling you to trust your instincts, follow your heart, and believe in yourself.

Flowers

On the advent calendar, you might have spotted some stunning hand-drawn flowers. Dreaming of flowers is a sign that your life is about to bloom and blossom. Flowers are also symbolic of all things beautiful, a sign that you feel happy and fulfilled.

Birds

In the theatre of your dreams, when feathered friends take centre stage, it’s a sign of positivity and freedom. Also representing spirituality and harmony, your inner self is flying high when birds appear!

Shells

Dreamt of shells lately? Well, that’s your subconscious telling you it’s time to release the old and embrace the new. Nudity

On the stationery advent calendar, you might spot some ladies partially draped in cloth. But in your dreams, nudity is all about raw vulnerability and authentic self-acceptance.
