A note from our founder
I've always been the girl who adored stationery, the one who looked forward to going back to school so she could pick her annual notebook, who spent longer illustrating her study notes than reading them! I started my first stationery business when I was 10, called 'Moo', but I was firmly told it wasn't a 'proper career'.
After studying science at Cambridge University, I became a director at a healthcare business, but that niggle never went away. I commuted a lot, and I remember sitting on the train and standing on freezing platforms, thinking… what if? I've always believed life is too short not to put your dreams into the world. So, I wrote a business plan, and then turned up on Monday with a resignation letter in my hands, much to the shock of my colleagues and parents!
The world has changed so much since then. We're driven to be online, memories get lost in our camera rolls, and our best ideas get buried in our phone notes. But I still believe in the extraordinary things you can achieve when you give yourself the time and space to think, dream, plan and do. So, I hope you can discover something lovely here that helps you do just that.

Our story so far
Making things possible since 2013
From a bedroom printer, to a much-loved British stationery brand, it's been quite the journey. The name Martha Brook comes from our founder Martha Keith's first name combined with Brook from Brook Green, West London, where a childhood dream began to bloom into an idea for a business.
From our first home in London, we now have studios in Dorset, England and Melbourne, Australia, where our brilliant team designs, hand-crafts and sends our stationery to customers all around the world. We've learned and grown, shaped by the ideas and encouragement of you, our wonderful community.
But one thing remains the same: our belief in creating beautiful, meaningful things that help people make more of life, and we're so excited to see where that takes us next.
