Teachers are superheroes - and we’re sure anyone could agree. They shape little minds and help our children to bloom into wonderful young people, look after them for so many hours of the day, and often don’t get the recognition they deserve. The end of the school year is a great reminder to say thank you to class teachers for all of the hard work they put in throughout the year, but coming up with gift ideas for teachers that get that message across can be tricky! We’ve come up with a list of wonderful, thoughtful presents for teachers to say thank you this end of term, so you’re not left panicking when the last day of school rolls around!
10 wonderful gift ideas for teachers to say thank you
A sweet personalised treat
First on our list of wonderful gift ideas for teachers is something almost as sweet as them! They deserve an end of term sweet treat as much as anyone, and these beautiful biscuits from Honeywell Bakes are sure to make an impression.
A notepad that lasts forever
Teachers work so hard and their days are none-stop, filled with things to do whilst also keeping an eye on our little ones! It’s important that they have some place to be able to keep their thoughts so they don’t get lost in the hustle and bustle, and a personalised refillable notepad makes a thoughtful gift that won’t go unnoticed, and they can be refilled endlessly so it can quite literally last forever!
A personalised leather lanyard
Teachers are very much VIPs in our eyes, and deserve to be treated as such! Gone are the days of a bog standard lanyard - why settle for less when these beautiful personalised leather lanyards exist? These are such a thoughtful and unique gift - something practical your child’s teacher can use every day, and makes a change from the regular influx chocolates and wine at the end of term!
A monogrammed coffee cup
Next on our list of gift ideas for teachers is one of these stylish coffee cups from Frank Green. If you know your child’s class teacher can’t get through the day without their dose of caffeine and is a fan of all things colourful and chic, this will make the perfect gift. You can even get them personalised with their name, so no-one in the staffroom can be stealing their flask from them, and they can show it off proudly.
A candle that says it like it is
If there’s anyone that deserves a bit (ok, a lot!) of relaxation time over the summer holidays, it’s teachers. Why not help them a little along the way with one of these fun candles from Mischief Candles? When teachers really are bloody brilliant, it’s nice to tell them - and this way, they can be reminded every time they light their new candle!
A pencil shaving necklace
As stationery lovers, we’re very tempted to get this one ourselves, but it is top of our list of gift ideas for teachers because it is just so beautiful (along with everything else from Joy by Corrine Smith!). These pencil shaving necklaces look like the real deal, but are plated in gold or silver. Aren’t they just beautiful? Don’t mind us, just adding to basket…
A 'best teacher ever' notebook
Teaching classes of children every day is no mean feat, and it is nice sometimes to provide teachers of a daily reminder of just how brilliant they are! Our Personalised Teacher Gift Softback Notebook is a beautiful, customised gift that they can then use every day in the classroom, as a little nod to say 'you are wonderful' on the days where they need a little extra encouragement.
A dried flower posy
Another of our wonderful gift ideas for teachers are these dried flower posies by Letterbox Gifts. Not only are they compact and amazing value for money, they will last so much longer than a traditional bunch of flowers, so your child’s teacher can have them adorning their desk all year long. They will serve as a reminder of how wonderful they are, and the colours in this bunch are just so beautiful!
A stationery themed mug
Another one we immediately want to buy ourselves! We are big fans of Emma Bridgewater designs over here at Martha Brook, but this stationery themed mug really steals the show! If you know your child’s class teacher would never turn down a cup of tea and has a deep appreciation of stationery - firstly, can we be their friend? And secondly, we think they will love this gift.
A handmade plant pot
Last up on our list of wonderful gift ideas for teachers is this stunning personalised plant pot by Olivia Morgan. The best types of gifts for teachers are the ones that are going to last, so they can look back on them for years to come. This plant pot is perfect for that, and paired with a beautiful new plant is sure to bring a smile to your little one’s teacher’s face.
