The best non-chocolate advent calendars for Christmas 2022
Oct 20The lead up to Christmas is officially on and it won’t be long before we’re opening little doors (or windows – that’s a debate for another day!) for the official countdown of advent. Discovering a chocolate behind some foil still evokes the nostalgia of Christmases past, but in recent years a whole new world of non-chocolate advent calendars has opened up! From beauty to biscuits, stationery to socks, we’ve collated a few of our favourite non-chocolate advent calendars to elevate your countdown to Christmas.
Best non-chocolate advent calendars
1. Kindred Fires Advent Calendar Candle
First on our list of our favourite non-chocolate advent calendars, we have gone a little down the traditional route. The very first advent calendar concept originated in the 19th century when German protestants began burning candles each day and in the Christian Church, a candle is lit each Sunday of advent. Nowadays there are so many candle advent calendars which nod to the traditional meaning of advent! We love the Kindred Fires Advent Calendar Candle, which burns for 25 hours so can be lit for an hour every night in the countdown to Christmas day. It can also be personalised so makes a lovely early Christmas gift!
2. Teapigs Tea Advent Calendar
In the cold winter months, what’s better than a cosy cup of tea each morning? The Teapigs Tea Advent Calendar has a new tea blend to discover every day so you can warm up on the chillier days, and maybe even discover your new favourite flavour of tea while you’re at it!
3. Martha Brook Stationery Advent Calendar
Next in our round up of our favourite non-chocolate advent calendars is our very own 24 Days of Stationery Advent Calendar. Is there anything better than being able to treat yourself to a new piece of stationery every single day?! We don’t think it gets much better than that! Our advent calendar is beautifully designed, inspired by the Twelve Days of Christmas, includes twenty-four unique stationery items and is totally plastic free and reusable, so you can refill and enjoy for years to come.
4. Lauren Aston Designs LADvent Calendar
