Behind the design: the 2024 24 days of stationery advent calendar
Sep 12At Martha Brook, September means one thing and one thing only…it’s officially advent month! Every autumn we unveil a brand-new theme and contents of the 24 days of stationery advent calendar and today is finally the day you can take a peek at this year’s design!
After selling out last year for its 6th year running, we’ve been busy working behind the scenes since January (yes, January!) on the 2024 24 days of stationery advent calendar and we’ve been simply chomping at the bit to show you this year’s edition.
Going on sale on Wednesday 18th September at 9am for newsletter subscribers and 5pm to the public, we’re now just days away from launch but you can get an exclusive sneak peek right here. Read on to see this year’s design and the inspiration behind the enchanting winter woodland theme.

For 2024, we wanted to capture the nocturnal magic and folklore mood of Christmas. Christmas is a time for believing, so we drew inspiration from our love of books and the hidden secrets of enchanted winter woodlands found in fairy tales.

Evoking the comfort and sanctuary of a cosy library, this year’s 24 days of stationery advent calendar features deep berry tones with charming hand-drawn illustrations. On the lid, there’s lots of curious creatures to discover such as a red squirrel, a brown hare, a wise owl and so much more!
One of the trends we’re loving this autumn and winter is mushrooms, we’re seeing them everywhere and you might have noticed a couple of teasers that we dropped across our Instagram over the last few weeks! Did you spot them?

Inside the advent calendar, you’ll find 24 enticing foil embossed boxes that have been designed to look like a row of colourful books on a shelf. Inside each you’ll discover a brand-new piece of stationery waiting to be enjoyed during the countdown to Christmas…eeek!

How can I order?
Hi Anne, unfortunately this is now sold out! You can keep your eyes on our newsletter and sign up here to hear about an exciting collaboration where you can be in with the chance of winning one!
I keep getting ads on Instagram for this so went to check out if it was legit, and found it all over Amazon (ranging in price from $24.00 – $56.00). Something is not adding up
Hi there, these are not legitimate listings and are fraudulent unfortunately. We’ve been working with the Police and Action Fraud to get these listings and adverts removed. The Martha Brook website is the only place you can purchase the 24 Days of Stationery Advent Calendar, which is now fully sold out.
I’ve reported one which clearly uses your photos but scratched off some of the content. Do you think you will get more or that’s it, we should wait for the next year?
Unfortunately we will not be getting any more this year, but you can sign up to our newsletter to be the first to hear about next year’s design!
I purchased two off ebay not realising and they are not ok, missing days, no stationery. I hope you can stop these ‘sellers’ ripping off your product. I am sorry I did not find your website sooner.
We’re so sorry to hear you have scammed by these awful people. We are working so hard on our side to get these listings removed and are working with the authorities and the police. Please do report this to Action Fraud and reach out to Citizen’s Advise who will be able to help you further with getting a refund.
Good day, I placed and order and a few days latter received a refund with no explaination. I have been waiting for this product. Am I not able to receive one?
Hi there, please can you reach out to our team at @Ryan.com">hello@Ryan.com with your order number and we can take a look into this for you?
Thanks!

I ordered mine through a Facebook add. The packaging looks the same. I’ve only opened day one and popped over to your website to see if I could find instructions on how to make the fountain pen work. Did I receive a fraudulent product?
Hello yes, I am so sorry you have. There isn’t a fountain pen in our advent calendar and we didn’t run any Facebook ads. The scammers stole our videos to widely run adverts across social media. Unfortunately the fountain pen is one of the better items in the counterfeit version you have. You can see me unboxing one on Facebook this week in a video on our page, and more information in our most recent blog post. If we can help in any way do pop us an email.
Unfortunately, it appears I have also been scammed ordering from Rosea. I thought it odd that most of the envelopes did not even have any stationery in them just what I presume are Christmas cards which are printed upside down! I also had day 15 missing but have 2 x 23!! It’s awful that your lovely products are being copied in such a bad way. Hope you manage to stop these fraudsters!
